A Man is walking home alone late one foggy Halloween night, when behind him hears:

Walking faster, he looks back and through the fog he makes out the image of an upright casket banging its way down the middle of the street toward him.

Terrified, the man begins to run toward his home, the casket bouncing quickly behind him. 
  
FASTER…

He runs up to his door, fumbles with his keys, opens the door, rushes in, slams and locks the door behind him. However, the casket crashes through his door, with the lid of the casket clapping. 
  
Clappity-BUMP…

On his heels, as the terrified man runs. 
 
Rushing upstairs to the bathroom, he locks himself in. His heart is pounding; his head is reeling; his breath is coming in sobbing gasps. 
 
With a loud CRASH the casket breaks down the door. 
 
Bumping and clapping toward him. 
 
The man screams and reaches for something, anything, but all he can find is a bottle of cough syrup!  Desperate, he throws the cough syrup at the casket… 
 
And then…

 The coffin stops.

As you may have noticed we had some slight technical difficulties here this morning. So no, your radio is NOT broken. It’s just fine. My favorite explanation: Aliens. Logical explanation: transmitter issues (don’t ask me to go any deeper into that cause I understand the words and that’s it. Thank goodness for engineers cause if News Directors ran the world we’d be a mess!)

So lets see, what’s new and happening? I spent the majority of last week doing the Ian McGriff Shuffle. That’s what I like to call the walk I do after I work out with him for the first time in a while. Good news is that after only 2 sessions with him I can fit back into a pair of jeans that had gotten a little too snug, which is AWESOME.  Fritz is working with Ian now too, which makes for super hilarious times and never to be outdone by a man it makes for great motivation too!

I’m such a bad little blogger. My apologies.

Well, as I’m sure you’ve noticed things have changed a little here at QMIX. We’ve said so long and good luck to some old friends and started harassing some new ones, but deep down we’re still the same old QMIX you know and love! So be sure to keep tuning in every morning as you’re getting ready for school or work, every day while you’re AT work, and every day on your drive home, In other words… DON’T TOUCH YOUR QMIX!

NIKKI G’S FACE IS BACK ON THE ISLAND!!!!!!

Ladies and gentlemen of the listeners jury, Nikki recently wrote a blog claiming her face is the largest in the world. I am here today to dispute said claim. 9 out of 10 QMIX employees polled agreed that Nikki’s face is not huge (in fairness to this poll, Nikki was the one disputing vote). Her face is lovely. My evidence oh fair jury lies within the following photos.

As you can see, it is CLEAR that Nikki G is a fool, and if she doesn’t stop whining that  she looks like the boy from The Mask I’m gonna give her something to whine about. ‘Cause I’m gonna sock her in the not-huge-face… like this:

All right folks. It’s that time again. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is released at midnight tomorrow, well I guess technically it’s Wednesday morning, either way there’s less than 48 hours left! I, Brittany Gray, plan to take one for the team and go see it AT MIDNIGHT just so I can give you, dear listener, a first hand account of it’s awesomeness (at least it better be awesomeness) I even took a vacation day on Wednesday, but have no fear!!! You’ll still get my report first thing that morning.

Now, in preparation for the big event I refreshed my early Potter memory this weekend and watched Sorcerer’s Stone, Chamber of Secrets, and Prizoner of Azkaban this weekend. I didn’t watch Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix being as I’ve seen them a KUZILLION times each. I also re-read Half Blood Prince (again) so it’d be super fresh in my mind making it easier to pick apart the movie properly. Anway, right after I flipped on the Sorcerer’s Stone the first thing out of my mouth was, “OMG!!! I FORGOT HOW TINY THEY WERE!!! Lookit baby Ron!!” So cute!!

So basically, what the point of this blog was actually intended to be is that I’m SO FREAKIN EXCITED!  If you happen to see me at the midnight release say hi! I’ll be the 25-year-old blond bouncin around in Gryffindor robes.

A great time was had by all including, THE REAL JEFF SATURDAY!! He made a surprise visit to the QMIX tent where he signed some autographs and chatted with the Q Wake-Up Crew.

So, we learned yesterday Cardboard Jeff Saturday (who is living in the QMIX studio until he finds a permanent home on Friday. www.qmix.com for details) is quite the ladies man.

Nikki G, Sara Beth Clark, and I took a little walk through downtown Columbus with CJS yesterday to try and give him a feel for the community. EVERYWHERE we went the ladies swooned. He seemed to like Columbus and gladly posed for numerous pictures. You can see all of those at the QMIX website and while you’re there checking them out you should probably just go ahead and sign up to take CJS home.

Some of you may have heard this story on the air yesterday. For those who didn’t, here goes. I know a boy. Said boys name is Chris. Yesterday was his 25th birthday, which reminded me of a story.

When Chris and I were in 1st grade I brought in chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing for my birthday. When I walked up to Chris’s desk to give him his cupcake he informed me that he was allergic to chocolate. Little 1st grade Brittany was very sad about this. SO! The next year, not-quite-as-little 2nd grade Brittany brought strawberry cupcakes with strawberry icing for her birthday just so little 2nd grade Chris  could eat one. When I walked up to Chris’s desk to give him his cupcake he said to me, “I wish this was chocolate.”

CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?!?!!? Still to this day, 19 years later when I think about my birthday that is one of the very first memories that pops up.

With yesterday being Chris’s birthday I told that story on the air. Luckily, my pal Rikki, who is also Chris’s torturous friend heard this story and thought she better do something about it.  As a result the following picture was taken and dubbed THE OFFICIAL CHRIS DARLAGE BIRTHDAY PHOTO OF 2009.

To everyone listening this morning when I called my good pal Gary and apologized for being a jerky little kid, I have something for you. My mom was kind enough to dig out a picture of little Brittany and Gary for your viewing pleasure.

For those of you who DIDN’T hear it this morning here’s what happened. Nikki G and I decided we wanted Pringles yesterday so we made a quick run to the gas station. While we were there we ran into Gary.  After we left in explaining to Nikki who Gary was (My first friend who lived across the road from me) I told her a story about the time Gary gave me a Barbie for Christmas. The Barbie came with a little plastic curling iron which I was SOOO excited about…until I found out it didn’t actually work. Once I had this revelation I became VERY angry with Gary and stayed that way for quite some time. Nikki pointed out to me that I may have overreacted. She also suggested that I call him during the morning show and apologize. So I did just that. ‘Course then I told everyone that his pants were always unzipped when he was little. I should probably call and apologize for that now too.

Nikki and Keith also called to apologize for some mean things they did. Nikki Called her brother (see her blog for her reason for needing to apologize). Keith wasn’t as lucky as the two of us, however, as when he called his person, Little Sammy Taylor from elementary school, we found that little Sammy was still holding a grudge. Once he heard who was calling he scoffed in disgust and hung up the phone! WOW! Maddox must have been quite the jerk!!

So it’s been forever since I blogged (it seems like I start all my blogs this way) and Nikki G reminds me of this daily. So in an effort to appease her highness, I’m finally going to update.
